The hotel, with 95.000m2 area,which is a Japanese investment, is built behind the Dolmabahçe Palace with enterprise of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality. By designing the building in parts rather than a single mass, the hotel was made more slender and more suitable to its surrounding. While the Main Building is separated in east and west wings, a separate annex building is planned for longer stays. Although it was planned to use glazed , reflective ceramic tiling on the facade, it was cancelled due to budget considerations. The intense texture of trees on site is preserved, restored and used as the extention of the hotel garden
