The main scheme of the existing building, which was built around 1948 as Sports and Exhibition Hall, is preserved, due to its suitability to the new function. The main hall with 2000 seats is located under the span of the old courts, while two of the new halls with 600 seats are planned under ground level and other two with 700 seats on the entrance facade. Old structure is totally supported and new steel structures are integrated. The Project started with a competitive bid invited by the Metropolitan Municipality, stopped for a long time due to various straits, then completed for Habitat meetings with great efforts, in 1996. The building includes many meeting rooms, an exhibition area of 3000m2, 500 seats restaurant, and support areas.
