The Culture Center is in a historical zone, surrounded with woods and 3 buildings under conservation. The concept design of Arup Associates was used as basis. The main scheme of the building is having various activities connecting to a linear foyer, covered with a vaulted roof, at varying levels. All design decisions were created with intense inputs various consultans such as acousticians and theater engineers. The building consisted of a Concert hall with 2 500 seats, a Multipurpose hall for conference, theater, dance and jazz, with 1 000 seats, a Chamber music hall with 450 seats, 3 connectable meeting halls with 200 seats , cinemas with 100 and 200 seats, a restaurantwith 350 seats, a music library, an exhibition halls, rehearsal rooms, dance rehearsal hall, an open air anphitheater with 450 seats, a closed carpark for 791 cars. Unfortunately, construction of the Project, which was supported by the Presidancy, as the Millenium Project of Turkey, is stopped before completion due to lack of finance.
