The historical block of the Hotel, is an annex to the Ciragan Palace.  The external walls are supported structurally and connected to the new structure of the building. The original planning scheme on the ground floor is followed in the new design. The two new bedroom blocks are designed with an architectural treatment contrasting with the solid, massive old building, while keeping the proportions and corniche levels of the old building, as basis. With roof eaves and window bays, the new bedroom blocks are interpretations of old, timber, Bosphorus houses. Corner buildings were designed with steel structure, glass facades and metal roofs, similar to historical glass houses, to accommodate the restaurant and the ballroom. The underground volume behind the garden set wall, on west, was incorporated into the hotel volume, to be used for supplementary areas, without creating additional building blocks in the site. The garden area, was designed to recall historical gardens, with the selection of plants, interpreted architectural and landscape elements. Trees that were registered as monuments were preserved in the design.
